The Ministry, through its postal networks, offers varieties of postal services and products to the public. One of those services that are critical and important to the post as a major source of revenue generation is the Lock-Box Service. Private lock-box is a subscription service offered to institutions and individuals wishing to obtain a private lock-box for their inbound mail arriving at the post offices in Liberia. The below steps are the procedures leading to obtaining a private lock-box service:

Registered mail are high value  or priority mail with traceable identity.

A customer with no knowledge of tracking his or her mail can follow the following easy and simplified steps:

Firstly, proceed by checking at the bottom of the official receipt given by the cashier to assess the two customers’ service contacts.

Use either of the following customer service contacts (077-907-9333/ 088-170-9675) for prompt respond or send a quick message on the ministry Facebook page (Ministry of Posts & Telecommunications).

Customers can also personally track their mail using the following websites:

(a) For the United States of America, please goggle (USPS tracking),

(b) For Europe, Asia, and South America, please goggle (track IT international),

(c) For Canada, customers should goggle (Canada post tracking)

(d) For Australia, customers should goggle (Australia post tracking).

Note:  The bureau is pleased to receive grievances from customers and will ensure all concerns are adequately addressed.

It is important to note that the Ministry of Posts & Telecommunications was established to provide postal services to all citizens and residents of Liberia at an affordable cost. At present, the Ministry is charging a minimum fee of USD 16.9 per 1kg or its Liberian dollars equivalent which is subject to change in line with economic realities.

 

Expressed Mail Service, known as the Expedited Mail Service (EMS) takes about three to five working days which is very cheap and reliable to all our destinations.

It is important to note, that the Ministry of Posts & Telecommunications was established to provide postal activities to all Liberian citizens at a cheap and affordable cost among other service providers with postage fees of USD 16.19 /1kg or its Liberian dollars equivalent which is subject to change while other courier services are more expensive than ours. In terms of delivery, we have two services, (the Regular service) and the Expedited Mail Service (EMS).

The Regular mail takes about 9-14 days while the Expedited Mail Service (EMS) takes 5 to 9 days with reliable and efficient delivery.

The office of the Deputy Minister assists the Minister in formulating policy on the ICT and the telecommunications sector.

The functions of the office is mainly to coordinate activities directly related to the delivery of postal products and services across the Liberian postal territory.
